“Stubborn optimist”

Stubborn Optimist was created based on an old photograph I took of a little girl I encountered in the little island of Djerba, Tunisia in 1999. There was something about that girl that I often remember, even 21 years later. I wonder what became of her, if she’s found happiness, what her life has turned out to be. The intensity about her just struck me, she seemed like a girl on a mission, and I wish her well.
