I included two installations with Ser y No Ser. One was not so obvious, very small paintings hanging off a side wall that people were encouraged to touch, explore and play with (the back of the paintings had quotes and clues to get a better understanding of the exhibit).

The second, miniature painted wooden blocks to really get to enjoy. Art Domino? Collapsing towers… there were several creative ideas that were explored. Art is not always just a reflection, many times it is an experience.

On Being and not Being

My Art Work is an eclectic sample that is looking to find balance and harmony between elements that are frequently opposite and disconnected. I work on multiple works at a time, allowing for each to influence and imprint upon the other. It is a fusion of two series that are set off, but that cannot exist without the other. 

Its objective is to stir the mind and become a positive influence on the multiple aspects of our individual reality.

I want to show how a concept can take many forms, thus continuing my investigation on the theme of duality and the possibilities unleashed by our need to be several things at once. Every Art Work has and tells its story.  However, every story and its interpretation is influenced not only by the prism of our own experience, but by our multiple perceptions.  The order that we live each experience, will also have an effect on its interpretation.

My Conceptual works, or insinuations, search in the unconscious its truth through loose thoughts, short stories or concepts.  They tend to be more spontaneous and abstract, some mystical, and in rare occasions they have figurative traces.

In my figurative works, the tree continues to exert a great influence as a link between worlds, of the visible and invisible, the beyond, identities at the edge between what is real and unreal… since many of my works not only tell, but rather hide.  With this particular series, my works also include new characters that are currently part of my world and my present: children, animals, ordinary objects, interacting with nature.

I maintain my objective of creating works with positive messages or works that at least leave a grain of hope as in the case of my environmental pieces.  I strongly believe in the protection of our environment and very few works fail to reflect this value.  

Some do so very subtlety, as in the case of “Owl, Wait!” and others more directly as in the case of “The Last Forest” (where 175 trees represent the original parties that signed the Paris Agreement) and “The Road to Hope” (where I mix words, perspectives and languages from all over the World expressing their thoughts on Climate Change).

Dynamic works come together as concepts and loose thoughts to form a parallel secret world where our stories become concrete.

Las obras integran lo clásico con lo contemporáneo a través de una fusión de conceptos, estilo y técnica. Es una una muestra ecléctica que busca encontrar balance y armonía entre elementos en ocasiones opuestos y disímiles. Suelo trabajar simultáneamente en varias obras a la vez, dejando que se influencien mutuamente.  Mi trabajo es una fusión de series que se contraponen, pero no pueden existir una sin la otra.  Su fin es ser una influencia positiva en los múltiples aspectos de nuestra realidad individual.

Quiero demostrar que un concepto puede tomar muchas formas y así continuar explorando la dualidad y las posibilidades que surgen por la necesidad de ser, crear y comunicar varias cosas a la vez. Cada obra tiene y cuenta su historia.  También, cada historia y su interpretación es influenciada no solo por nuestras experiencias individuales, también por nuestras múltiples perspectivas.  Además, el orden en que vivimos estas diferentes experiencias, afecta su interpretación. 

Mis obras conceptuales, o insinuaciones, buscan en el inconsciente su verdad a través de pensamientos sueltos, pequeñas historias o conceptos.  Suelen ser más espontaneas y resultan abstractas, algunas místicas y en pocas ocasiones tienen rasgos figurativos. 

En mis obras figurativas, el árbol continúa ejerciendo una gran influencia como enlace entre mundos, de lo visible y de lo invisible, el más allá, identidades al borde entre lo real y lo irreal... ya que muchas de mis obras no solo ilustran, pero también ocultan.  Con esta serie, mis obras también incluyen nuevos personajes que son actualmente parte de mi mundo y mi presente: niños, animales, objetos ordinarios, todos en interacción con la naturaleza.

Mantengo fuerte mi objetivo de crear obras con mensajes positivos, o que dejan al menos un grano de esperanza.  Creo en la protección de nuestro ambiente y son pocas las obras que no reflejan este valor.  Algunas obras lo demuestran de forma muy sutil, como en “Búho, ¡espera!” y otras de forma muy directa como “El Último Bosque” (donde 175 árboles representan las partes que firmaron el Acuerdo de París) y “El Camino a la Esperanza”, (que mezcla diferentes perspectivas, palabras e idiomas todos expresando el tema del Cambio Climático).

Obras dinámicas, entre conceptos y pensamientos sueltos, forman un mundo secreto y paralelo donde nuestras historias se concretan.
